[REQ] trace shadows / export shadow contours

Hi guys,
I am looking for a plugin that traces the contours of shadows in SU. A simple application would be to export the areas, viewed orthogonally from above, as contours in a DWG, in order to use them in a CAD drawing. If you are working like me on an urban plan, you may understand that tracing shadows by hand for an entire city can be quite boring... Exporting a 2d raster image (turning the shadows black and the rest white) and tracing it with illustrator works, but is not precise. Any other solutions?
