Posting SU pics

Hi everyone. I am new to sketch up. Ican not use my Turbo Cad with windows 7, so I was looking for a free replacment for drawing my projects and stuff. I found SU and it looks like it will work for my purposes. (Although I really miss my TurboCad.)

Do I need to 'copy' my screen, save it as a pic, then upload to a host, then imbed the pic to post it?
I have been spending a lot of time on SU. It is coming very slowly.
I would like to show you what I learned in the last 2 days

Hi merc. You can also Export a 2D graphic from the File menu in SU.

likewise, you can also upload the actual .skp directly to this site via 'upload attachment'
(if you so choose)

I can't seem to upload attachments. So I will just embed them the way I know from Photo bucket.
Anyway--here is my shop. Note--I did not draw the machines. I got them from the files in SU.
I figured you would know that since I am new to SU, but wanted to make sure there was no confusion.

Nice looking shop merc. You will love using SU. I found it very forgiving and the guys on this forum are unbelievably helpful to us novices.

Maybe the reason you can't attach stuff is down to file size? Not 100% on what the limit is but I know its not too big.

Hi Merc and welcom, That is a great start; I like the tool chest. This is a great forum to help you learn SU. One thing I have learned it to get familiar with layers and scenes; they will help you keep your model organized. Also, on the woodworking end of it check out the Design, Click, Build Blog at Fine Woodworking: http://www.finewoodworking.com//blog/design-click-build. You also might want to download models from this site and the 3D Warehouse and go through them to see how they are made. Jerry
