Simple and Quick

A few recent doodles.

A book rack designed by André Jacob Roubo. It's made from a single piece of wood.

A Mission-style hall clock that still needs some hands. I haven't found any clock hands that seem suitable.

Thomas Jefferson's revolving bookstand from Monticello. I posted this one in the Gallery already but thought I'd post it here, too.

Roubo's bench.

A little jig for the shop.

Very nice Dave. I think the workbench is my favorite!

Thanks for posting something Dave...I was getting bored!

Nice work Dave, the renders are good too - I particularly like the texturing on the clock.

Thank you gentlemen.
Todd, I like the bench, too. I'd like to have one in my shop but the last thing I need is another horizontal surface. If I built that, there'd no room for building another boat.
Dan, you're welcome. Glad to relive at least a little of your boredom.

Chris, I like that quarter sawn oak material, too but I think I need to find some additional images that could be colored to match. The ray flecks are clearly repeated too often with just one board.
