My first weeks with twilight
-
Ive been having fun with twilight render....an amazing plug-in for me, as I doubt I'd ever have been capable of mastering some of the other rendering SW that is out there.
So, can anyone tell why there is a mirror like edge to the pool side (lower right hand side) and how to get rid of this.

Without the SU model, this is almost impossible to say...
I suppose that it's a back-face issue, where you've applied one material on the back-side (i.e. tiles), which makes it look correct in SU, however, there's another material applied to the front-side (here it looks like the water material) and when rendered, it will be the front-face material being rendered...
You can check for front- and back-faces by clicking the Monochrome icon (or View > Facestyle > Monochrome)...
If it's a back-face (Blue-ish color), then right-click and reverse the face...
Now apply the correctmaterial and re-render...Hope this can helpyou further...!?

It would be easier to answer this if you added an arrow to the image so we could be sure just what you are talking about.
Is the level of the water in your pool, the same as the level of the deck, or is it a few inches below?
Are you referring the the reflections in the water itself, or to the way the edges of the the pool sides appear through the water?

I think that's simply a miss placed material. When looking the pattern, I think it's not a reflection of the water surface. Same with the pool edge near the lady.

Thank you one and all.....Yep, it was reversed faces with a transparent material attached to it as you can see ......
