had some fun with wings 3d, sketchup and twilight!

Very nice, looks like a Spiderman intro graphic.

yeah solo is right...reminds me of venom.

Nice work, love to try out those wing 3d workflow.

Don't know what it is but I like it.

lol thanks for comments.
I don't know what it is either. wings is really nice to work with though. A little unstable on mac it seems but great results. I exported as 3ds but you can also export as xml for kerkythea users (lots of other export options too). smoothing takes a split second!
here is a close up of original render. I woulda smoothed it one more time but sketchup said NO

low res version, high res wouldn't load for some reason:

Funny I have made something similar in the past with Zbrush

(it's not 3D, only 2.5 D)interest? : you make that in 20 seconds!
So possibility to explore infinite visual result in no time!
That you can't make in real 3D+rendering

This is cool, Oliver.
Could you please point me to any good Wings tutorial or guide? I tried the official materials but gave up quickly.

i'll get the url from my work computer when im back tomorrow, cant remember exact place i found the tutorials.
start off with some of the basic shapes and select edges/faces etc and right click to see all the manipulation tools like inset, extrude (like push/pull), subdivide (also hotkey S on keyboard).
Just have a play mate best way to learn! although i have no idea how to model/texture things accurately in it yet!
