Could anyone give me a quick TUT on how to map a decent Barberpole Candy Cane stripe around this guy. So far no success.

The Reasons should be obvious this time of year. I just suck at it.

      Thanks

      D

I vaguely remember that there may be a thread on this from somewhere in these forums or maybe not---anybody???

I did this one in less than 5 min using just geometry, not texture mapping. I copied the shape a number of times then used the Radial Bend in the FredoScale set of tools by Fredo to make the crook.

And along the freescale talk, I find that just make a Red&White stripe pole-twist it to make the design-then bend it to make the cane.

            Hope it helps!

You know. .. Actually MODELING the stripe rather than Mapping it occured to me as well last night, but i there had to be a more elegant way, but now that you guys concur, I feel so much better about myself. Thank you.
