I hope I am following the proper protocols by creating a new topic. I was not sure if I should post this in hardware recommendations or create a new topic. We are in the process of purchasing new pc's with windows 7 64 bit. My problem is I can not find windows 7 64 bit drivers for the following:

    HP Designjet 1050c
    Xerox 6204 copier/scanner/printer
    Savin 4035 copier/scanner/printer

Will the xp 64bit or vista 64bit drivers work? If anyone has any experience using the printer/plotters above I would very much appreciate your help

      Hi rparson,

you should try it with the vista 64-bit drivers. Most of them are working well with Windows 7.

XP drivers probably wont work but vista drivers have a pretty good chance of working. the safest thing to do would be to upgrade a test machine and see if you can get everything working on that then upgrade everything else when you know the drivers et al are working.

p.s. dont worry too much about starting new topics.

Yes of course it will. W7 is after all, Windows Vista in disguise! (or Vista with all the fat trimmed off 😉 )

If you can not find drivers that work with your hardware in Win7, consider running Win7's VXp to connect the hardware, then network Win7 apps to the VXp.

Hope I'm not teaching how to suck eggs but if you run this utility with all your devices connected, it should give you the latest info on driver compatability in Windows 7. It helped me a great deal.
