Here's a building model made with SketchUp and rendered with one of the Blender 2.5 test builds. Trees from ngPlant.

I'm interested in Blender. Care to share more details on the workflow?

Miguel:
I might want to do a google search on this man work : Krzysztof Nowacki
http://www.gucias.republika.pl/katalog/katalog.htmlYou can get help from what he has said.

hey! is the new blender (redone interface) released?
-
Rocky:
It might be but not sure, using this one win32-B25-r24192.
-
no
, checked the site still at 2.49. 2.5 is going to have a reorganized (better) interface. -
michaliszissiou:
Im using both 2.49b and one of the Blender builds "win32_B25_r24192" from that site.
Im using 2.49 for material or composite node testing. Have been testing the leafs with
different material settings and trying get this results:http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=132&t=573528&highlight=architecture
Im still learning.
Im using the blender 2.5 test build for rendering cause its close to 4 times faster than
2.49b. Not all the builds are that fast. -
Version 2.49b is the last full functional and stable version of blender. If you want an experimental 2.5 version (not full for the moment) download a build these:
http://www.graphicall.org/builds/
But doesn't seem to work for the time being (70% ready), just to learn the new GUI. 2.49b is great, smooth sculpture at 600 000 poly. Go for this.
Anyway I'm still trying to organize a SU to blender workflow, any ideas? Colada is still a disaster... SU 3ds the same.
Any really good tutorial out there?
Edit: Now , you don't need SU for this simple model, try a much more complicated, components, groups, textures... -
Rendered another but settings are not correct for the trees.
