Podium in Outer Space! [UPDATED 23rd July]
-
Hi people!
This is the result of one days modeling and rendering. I'm so bored!
I've always wanted to do a space scene so this is my first attempt.
I made the space ship too!!
I wanted to make this scene with as little photoshop as possible...most of what you see is pure podium render (3 minute render)
Hope you guys enjoy it, please comment!!
Here is my process:

great work, olishea. amazing how well the model of the space ship (which is rather basic and doesn't seem too precise ) turns out to look in the final image.

Cool process!

It's my thoughts as to how I believe technology may evolve. Smooth, clean and pure function. It was supposed to be chrome but I decided it looks better like this! It was more about reflection than detail. Good bit of fun!

Love the lateral thinking here...

Very creative work Oli

Cool well done very innovative, one small crit to many planets & stars space is surly not so congested?
But the good prevails please keep it up -
This is curious thing!

I think it's actually a lot more congested!! Just because our solar system has nine planets doesn't mean other ones cant have more.
The good thing about images like this is that nobody can say its inaccurate!

Nice metalic surface on new ones. My fav is the third image.

I really like them.
And your right the future of what space craft will look like is anyones guess. I love watching old space movies with their giant buttons and tiny screens. (Go Starwars)

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It was actually quite a bit of fun doing this! Although there is a bit of dodgy photoshopping here and there!
I only used normal reflectivity Sid, no blur.I just added noise etc after. It seemed to pick up the colours a bit better.
I recommend it if you are feeling bored one day with nothing to do. Or maybe just get drunk, I dunno.
