    Nice roof tiles and roofs. Isn't that a LOT of work to lay them out?

      No, I think its easy, the hard part is cutting them and takes long.
      In real life you have to do this in the hot sun and takes days. 😄

        To cut down the time just use the mover tool. Copy and move.

                what renderer are you using? and on what settings? its a very simple scene it shoudln't take too long

                  Using Kerkythea and rendering this last one with BiPT.
                  Others Kerkythea and rendered using MLT.

                      If this is an outdoor scene lit only by the sun you should try the Progressive Path Tracing setting. See if that speeds things up.

                      It also looks like a healthy amount of geometry with the modelled roof tiles and trees. That is probably contributing to the speed.

                        Yes, PPT, using that now. I have to remove also lots of twigs, stems not seen and unnecessary geometry. Will also try reducing translucency on all trees. I tryed pseudo translucency and doesn't look right.

                            To Mat B: Yes, All trees are using the same leaf.

                            Here's a front view with the palm. PPT render. I need bushes. Dont like the plant and will check warehouse to see what else they have, there.
