Black Hawk FKA Apache Podium and LightUp renders
-
I was playing with Podium. Found this on Google warehouse. Quick render. 1min 47 sec render. Must warn you, before you ask , this helicopter is remotely controlled and it was shot by high speed shutter camera, so motion blur is very, very small.
 Comments welcome.

 Impressive, Sepo.

nice, i modified this model to make my transformer also using podium!
-
 psst it's a Blackhawk

 Sepo
Is that motion blur from PP or is this a sneaky look at Podium 2
-
Thanks Daniel and Liam. Khai , you are absolutely correct and thank you for pointing it out. I presumed it was Apache. I thought , well, it looks like an atack helicopter and name is kind of appropriate.
That tells you what I know about military stuff. I do like the shape of it though Holmes , no it is not V2. This is beta 1.7 and little motion blur in the second image was done in Photoshop.

This is LightUp try of the same model. Could not decide which version to post so I posted all of them.

 Is that make with Sketchup???

The last 4 rendered in LightUp.

OK this would be last with military theme, I promise This one mixes SU output with background and Podium clay render. The idea was to get NPR, noir ,image ...kind of painterly effect....I know the plane has wrong badge This one mixes SU output with background and Podium clay render. Very very nice sepo.
I suggest to add some more noise before glow effects to avoid posterization.

Thanks Michael....just 2 more and no more. These are from LightUp mixed media.

 Wow! I am very impressed.
Both the Podium as the LightUp versions look very good.
It shows in the images that you are having fun making them.A little question on LightUp: Are there tricks to get bigger scenes working?
In the limited time of experiment I had, LightUp worked very well on smaller scenes, but the bigger ones tend to freeze Sketchup when you're not careful. Any tips to overcome this?

The first Plane render would have to be my fav.
Well done sepo, I really like your PP style in all your work.More pic's please

Great renders, guys. If I could make an observation - with the backgrounds so blurry and the models so sharp, it makes the model look like...well, a model. Maybe a little less blur in the background and more blur on the model to even things out and it might fit better in the scene. JMO, I'm no expert.

Thanks Chris . You comments are very encouraging…They mean a lot to me.
I do not have any tricks on large models, but I know Adam is working on this.
So if you have a problem file do send him a .dmp file. I had only problem with one file so far. If we help Adam he will just make LU better.Holmes…thanks . Yeah, I enjoy playing with wild post process. Maybe enough of military theme for now. Need to move onto archviz . EscapeArtist…Thanks for your comments. I used HDR background for LightUp renders. They are by nature blurry, if not huge resolution. In Podium ones I mixed raw SU output (post processed) with Podium renders. They all have certain amount of blur. But I agree some of them need perhaps more.

Added pilots and motion blur. Motion blur was done in Sketchup rather than in postprocess. Rendered in Podium postprocessed in Photoshop.
