Looking for helix tool

hi folks,
I am in need of a tool that produces 3D helixes, spirals and stuff. I remember there was a nice little plugin for it (the guy who wrote the script used it for iron work).
unfortunately I can't remeber it's name. and I can't find the thread here on the forum. can anyone remember where to find it and what it is called?cheers, plot

The iron working plugin was taper maker, and as a suggestion you could create the helix lines and then twist them with Fredo's plugin...
