    Hi,
the maximum number of faces is 5000 for sketchup models which should appear in GE.
I know, that I can find the number of faces in the model info window. But which numer is the right, which is crucial?
The number with checked or uncheck "Show nested components".
Till know I thought it is the number wich checked "Show nested components" but I'm not really sure.
Can anyone please answer my question.

      Hi Jodigo,

I think it is with the nested components although I'm not 100% sure. There are reasons however to believe so:

      • for Google, performance on GE is the important and it is not really affected by making components or not in SU either not to speak about GE. Simply the app needs to display those faces no matter how they are organised.
      • The kmz file won't benefit as much from components as the skp file itself so somehow those faces need to be taken into consideration.
      • With 5000 faces you should be able to model pretty much everything for GE that's worth seeing actually. In fact, 5000 faces is fairly a large number.

Thanks for the answer. As you confirmed my assumption I'm almost sure, the the number with "Show nested components" checked is the right one.
