SketchUp Design Challenge
-
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here so hello to everyone. SketchUcation is a very great resource for SketchUp and I am glad to see so many helpful people here in the forums. I would like to announce a new challenge/competition site I started called the SketchUp Design Challenge and I would like to invite anyone who's interested in participating in challenges to join in. The challenges will be about designing models that solve real world problems using SketchUp. There are no tangible prizes, but winners will be awarded by the recognition of their peers and featured onthe challenge website. I am currently using the FaceBook platform to administrate the challenge but I am in the planning stages of utilizing phpBB on my own domain (jedicharles.com) to run the challenge. To learn how to participate, just visit the challenge page on FaceBook here and view the Welcome and Rules tabs.
The first challenge involves designing a 100 square foot house. The challenge deadline is currently June 7, 2009 but will be extended by a week until there are enough entries to vote on.
I am very willing to take your input and suggestions on ways to improve the challenge, please use the discussion board on the SUDC FaceBook page linked above or post in this thread to send suggestions. Thanks for your time.-JediCharles

Hi, you can still participate without joining FaceBook just not able to vote. All entries are posted to the Google 3D Warehouse by the entrant using a tag specified in the challenge description here. I will notify this thread when I move the challenge off FaceBook. I decided to use FaceBook for the challenge as an experiment to see how feasible it was but now I realize a self hosted solution is more suitable. The FaceBook page will stay but it will be reduced to just a means of promoting the challenge.
