Great job, the last image looks fantastic!

So that was the white Podium rendered image and textures added in PS with clone tool?

Thanks guys, I suprised myself with this one!

Yes I cloned textures from the original building onto the podium render. They multiply the occlusion produced by podium to make it a bit more convincing. ie they are on a seperate layer above the podium render which I tweaked with curves etc to get the right tone. The sly baked reflections and internal ambient light are too produced by the podium render.

Usually I'd render a textured model but I only have a couple of days to do everything and the materials have to be reclaimed vernacular, so it just made sense to do the visual in this fashion. It is possible to do all this purely in podium but again time is an issue.

Cheers for all the comments its much appreciated

Crappy movie, if you allow (also rather compressed) but shows the transition nicely.
              Really great job. πŸ‘
I mean yours, of course, not the movie. πŸ˜‰

[edit] although this is the final version....sorted out the dodgy bright interior etc.

It was simply Google's Picasa. But (even simpler) Window Movie Maker can also do that easily.

In these cases, these "transition"" videos can often be quite powerful. Also with SU vs. PR Render output.

Nice job Oli πŸ‘ I'm curious! Where is the building located? I am also sure that your renders should keep and Planning Officer happy in the knowledge that the new extension works πŸ˜‰

It's in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester. My house is on the other side of the valley behind that hill!

I wondered what that Picasa was for...duhh!

Outstanding work. I have been having some trouble with Podium lately. It's been frustrating. I really like the results WHEN I CAN GET THEM! LOL
