I love these models. Could you explain a little on how you modeled the body and the wings, thats what I am stumped on from looking at the wireframes. Great job, thanks!
-
Thanks. Those shapes were simple really. Just a cylinder for the body, using the scale tool on segments about the cylinder. And for the wings I made a profile and pushed the shape, scaled one side, pushed again, scaled or rotated...
Hope this helps.

OK, that makes sense, I guess I was confused from the amount of triangles in the wireframes. I thought you used the sandbox tool. I have never used the sandbox tool to create that clean of shapes, only landscape. Thanks for the reply.

Ok, here is a first run at rendering this "Big Bird".
Shiny out of the box...

-
the third one is epic
-
Thanks Bruce.
Well the original author called it "Big Bird" so I think I will stick with that.Edit: Thanks Dan.

Spud?
-
yeah that third image in the clouds is good, is it finished yet?
-
No, this was just a first try. I may even do multiple color schemes and what not.
-
A sharks teeth WW2 paint scheme would look pretty good you up for that?
-
eric
that really looks good.
