No post processing flame is rendered.

Could you supplement the .avi with a small omni light as it doesn't appear to have any light casting quality?

I'd love to enter this challenge; but darnit, my windows PC took a dump yesterday(watch out for the latest nVidia system drivers, at least on the 780i) due to corrupted USB drivers and I can't get into the comp at all thanks to only having USB mouse and keyboard.

Not to mention my monitor picked today to die.

Complaints, I has them! Don't close the challenge yet ! That is, unless there's a way to get Sketchup working on my Linux laptop!

did you model the flame in vue with a volumetric material?

[Displacement activities.. you gotta love em]

Here's a candle model I found on 3dwarehouse just now. Just added the flame and made the base shiny metal.

The flame is animated in realtime but I can't upload the .mov file so I've put a 320x240 on Vimeo

Sure is.

The all new, all dancing v1.5 is hopefully out tomorrow too.
(Which is the version that has all this color/texture animation support)
