I wonder if this could mean we might be getting cheaper computers in the long run?

There will be a deal. Unfortunately it'll mean special chips in all computers that automatically beam back to Brussels every web site you visit and every e-mail you send.

Then come the knock on the door in the middle of the night .....

          Hi Peter,

I half agree with you, if that is possible, but I will always have great faith in the independent Hackers that will feel obliged to raise to the challenge of dismantling whatever the Big Boys try to implement unfairly.

For example take the iPhone 'jailbreaks' that have been made available for free. Apple tried to tie all users into iTunes. I would not have minded this approach if they allowed all the various apps on board but it appears they didn't allow certain apps. I needed a Movie Apps so did the necessary!

Have no fears! Whatever the Big Boy try to hoist on us, there will always be some Hacker only too willing to rip it apart but again a certain amount of 'knowing where to go' is needed.

Before anyone jumps on me and suggests that I'm sanctioning privacy, I'm not doing this, technically. I just don't believe in monopolies.

          Mike

What I mainly wonder is what we (well, the European Union) are going to do with all that moolah. It's quite a significant amount really...

They should share the money with all of us in the EU who bought AMDs ๐Ÿ˜„

As the EU only has about 500 million people plus some don't have computers and others have Intels then the sum would pretty nice ๐Ÿ˜„

                Ok just daydreaming ๐Ÿ˜›
