Could be good, but equally i can imagine it being a pile o' crap.
have to wait and see i suppose.

The Co-director Neill Blomkamp is the guy who did the previous Halo game videos so I'm guessing this is the Halo movie that Sony has been hiding for three years.
-
Peter Jackson put his name on it, which could mean it's good but he does have more of a taste for B-Movie horror films than some.
I thought, as the video began, that 1) it was a real documentary and 2) it was about the current anti-alien troubles in SA--against African immigrants. What a surprise.

There are a lot of great special effects / scifi movies on the Horizon, with Star Trek leading the way next week, then there is Terminator 4, Jurrassic park 4, Transformers 2, JI Joe, etc. I think just the fact that Sony and Peter Jackson are part of this makes it an exciting upcoming movie.

Halo seems like an updated Startroopers. I find it odd that the answer to fighting an alien force is usually sending guys out in body armor with hopped-up machine guns. How efficient is that? Perhaps it's just that being one of those guys is the ultimate male fantasy for our race. We've reached the human limit of imagination.

I'm all for some new SciFi flicks, there haven't been too many good ones of late. But then, I consider good to be like "Serenity" or "Alien". That "District 9" movie seems to be a mashup of "Independence Day" and a few others. Doesn't mean it'll stink... I'll reserve judgement.
