Do you think SCF is international?
-
This is the locations of the first page of the most active SketchUcation members. Pretty telling I think:
Pecs, Hungary
UK
Rotterdam, Netherlands
Alabama, USA
Dallas, Texas
"West of Ireland"
London, UK
Australia (but its not listed)
...where the skies are not cloudy all day.
Trondheim, Norway
(modelhead?)
Berkeley, USA
Porto Alegre, Brasil
Dubrovnik,Croatia
France (but its not listed)
In a closet. Your closet, to be precise.
(Jim?)
Sheffield & Royston (Herts), UK
Springfield, USA
London, UK
Knoxville, USA
Formby, UK
(Jackson?)
Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa.Somewhere around 11 coutries listed (though there are a few members who don't list their location (I guessed on a couple - kwistenbiebel and Pilou)). I think thats pretty interesting.
The next page of members adds (from themembers who list their location) Denmark, Canada, Germany, Finland, and Spain. Pretty impressive!

thomthom is from trondheim
stinkie is in a closet.. your closet
-
I'm come from Vietnam
the most herotic country in the world
-
Yeah, it wouldbe interesting to get a full country count. These are just from the first page of users. I wonder if the forum keeps track of that somewhere.
-
I'm from Denmark and I know that we also have members from Sweden...
In general I'd say YES to your question, Chris...
The SCF sure is International... -
Yeah Kim, I'm planning on taking a nice long vacation to that region someday. Between Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands and a few others, I think I've got enough aquaintances to have a free spot to sleep for about a year, and never be in any single home more than a few nights
So watch out Kim, Thom, Anssi, Coen - I'm coming! And I have 3 kids and a wife
Chris
ok, well I don't really have a trip planned, but if I ever do, I'll take you all out to dinner.

That'd be a hell of a party with 16k+ members...
(from PΓ©cs, Hungary) -
For those of you not familar with the song "Home on the Range" I'm from a little town in Kansas.
-
I never knew that Home on the Range was about Kansas. Wyoming always comes to mind for some reason.
Chris
-
I thought Kansas was a 'wizard of oz' thing. and 'Home on the range' was a Texas NRA thing.
-
hey dont forget me. i came from Philippines but staying in vietnam.. here is our http://www.CGPinoy.org to show how Sketchup and SCF as part of the Filipino community around the world.

Just give me a note a few days in advance...(As long as you don't bring your leguana... )

Hi Nomer,
That's an impressive forum (and some beautiful work, too).
They'd kill us here however if we made so many subforums... Aren't you also afraid of the content getting a bit scattered?
BTW the best Hungarian SU Forum on Earth is here (you need to sign up for that FL subforum ).

indeed hehehehe -
Let's not forget the Romanians around here, we're not very very active, but we are around here.
-
Aren't you? Just look at yourself or Ely!
-
That's me from Formby UK , Chris....although I guess you spotted that on My AIA tag a few hours after writing...so you know I'm not there right now. It was great to finally meet you in person; and you'd be more than welcome to bunk-up for a few nights at my place on any world tour you were planning.
I think Jackson spends his time between Sweden and Edinburgh.
Tom, you learn something new every day. I wouldn't have placed The Range Rider in Kansas either, but I see the 'theme tune' was adopted as the State Song long before the series was ever conceived. (I'm old enough to have seen the original, not the reruns, too.)
-
Glad you made it out of the AIA Alan. I hope you make it home all right!
Yeah, we need another international SCF get together.....maybe next year I guess?
