An Help manual for Sketchyphysics
-
Well, if you lead, I'll follow. I don't know how to set up a wiki, but I can write about SP fine...
-
Count me in as well.
-
I should be a ton of help with the "tricks" of modeling well. I've had about a years worth of experience...Count me in!
-
I would. I might. But I'm lazy.
-
I'll help if i can. I would probably learn a lot if you would start something since I'm somewhat a newbie. Especially sp3 rc1.
-
The Wiki could be started off with extracts from the FAQ as it stands now; alot of that is written tutorial-style.
I'm alright with script, and I've got a pretty good understanding of making vehicles, optimizing models for SP and that kind of thing. I can remember quite a few of the common glitches and how to get around them... the more technical stuff is probably what I can help most with.
-
OK so the it's official. I created the wiki. I called it "SketchyPhysicWiki" to make simple link the plug-in to the wiki. The URL will be http://sketchyphysics.wikia.com. I added this forum as base for the project- I don't think is wrong to place the link.
-
Wait, have you made the Wiki, or are you about to? The link doesn't work, and I can't find it by searching.
-
Any help needed, I could do something (translation into French for instance)
MALAISE
-
The link isn't working yet. I will notice to you when my request will be approved by Wikia.
-
Our SP manual is ready- almost empty. Being too little to became a "true" wiki, is now a sub-wiki in The Wikia Scratchpad. His URL is http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/SketchyPhysics_manual.
I added one article, about joints, and some index. The rest will be developed in future. -
Awesome. I've copied across my (brief) descriptions of the versions, and added the download links for RC1. Also fixed a bit of english

-
This is an awesome idea. I was never much good at documentation. Thanks everyone!
-
Thats a nice Wiki. The editing system is much better than the one I use at work.
BTW Curbs did an awesome tutorial a while back. Its for 2.0 but it all still applies.
-
I made two pages for the google-code wiki and if you want me to add them to this new one I will.
-
Yeah, your pages look good; everyone should contribute whatever they can. I've started to write a couple of the pages, including links to various useful websites.
-
I could make the first link (http://sketchyphysics.wikia.com) work. It means that we have a complete wiki for SP. So, add the new pages here. I am transferring the old pages to the new wiki. I am sorry if I made some trouble, but is better do it now than in the future.
P.S. In the new wiki we can show a SP LOGO. I don't know if there is already one. If not, is a good chance to start creating one. -
Yay! A proper Wiki... I've done a little bit on the new one too. I'm going away on saturday, so I'm getting as much done as I can before then; it'll be nice to see what you guys have come up with once I'm back. And I don't think there's already a logo... how about this:

-
...My Idea would be having the pencil in the sketchup logo, falling on and crushing the house
