      Ok Scott,

I wait for the second rendering.

I am a Vray user too, πŸ‘

About the left side, may be you can approach a bit the plant.

      Bye

Other than the items you already mentioned, I think it looks great. Looking forward to seeing the next iteration.

Personally I wouldn't ever change the GI from 1.0 in order to maintain physical correctness and control the exposure through the physical camera and colour mapping settings.

Give Reinhard with a burn value of 0.6-0.8 a try and see if that solves your problems.

for the render, i think it has a great feel. One strange thing about the model though is that the middle set of shelves do not line up with the side bookshelf vertically and makes the bookshelf look out of place... wondering if that was intentional. the fluorescent lights also seem a little bright in comparison to the strength of the sun. great work though

Great work as usual Scott. I look forward to the next one.

You said it has to be clean but it sure would be nice to see those shelves holding much more than you presently have. And maybe a climbing ivy on the top of the shelves. Just a thought.

                Eric,

While I would always love to really dress the office I am limited since the furniture has to take center stage (as that is our business). I have added binders since the books look bad and I am rendering now (still a long way from done). Also materials have been tweaked and seem to be much better now.

I truly wish Vray was for a MAC (did I say loud enough πŸ˜„ ) Having to run it through a VM session sucks! Yes, I know there are others but this is what I have to deal with now. Modo will take the place of Vray here shortly.

                Scott

I'm not sure about the excessive lighting 'cause Im new to V-Ray, but the lights on the ceiling don't look right to be, being too bright and all, but that may change when you address the excess light.

As for the bare wall, you could put a white radiator/heater on the wall, it wouldn't then take your view away from the desks, while filling the gap??

                  Looks good though πŸ‘

I like the wide angle of the view πŸ‘

I don't. That's a real eye sore to me right there. Other than that, this is a promising start.

Scott, are you seriously thinking of using modo instead of Vray to render your SU models with? I'd suggest you take a long, hard look at the interior renders over at modo HQ. Clearly, Vray produces better output. Probably faster, too.

Thanks guys. The wide angle is something I kind of like. I guess it is just a matter of taste.

A wall radiator would never fly as this is a new building and would never ave anything like that. Good suggestion, just not for this project.

                        Stinkie,

Yes, I will be moving over to Modo for rendering and a portion of my modeling as well. I think that Modo is more than capable of doing a good interior render much the same as Vray. Wait for 401 (volumetric lighting)....Vray won't keep up then. Speed I have found between the two is pretty close. Really depends on the project ans settings. I like Modo, and the way it handles materials makes this a great program for anyone to have in their toolbox. I take it you have been working with Modo?

Yes, I have a license. Great modeling toolset! The renderer isn't bad, far from it, just not as good as Vray. A lot fiddlier, too, in my opinion. Luxology's got a really interesting product, though. I'm quite curious to see what 401'll bring. It better be 64 bit. πŸ˜„
