      I thought I'd make a scene for rendering in V-ray. I have had a few issues with it. But I thought I'd show how far I'd progressed so far. For some inexplicable reason, my bump maps or Displacement aren't showing up in the render. The water was meant to me nice and rippley. Any C&C are wholely welcome.

            used to happen to me as well.......the material wasn't working for some reason
            turns out the problem was with the material...
            then i got it from another source....which worked just fine...
            so here it is .....
            hope it works for you as well....all the best

                i agree ...it does seem too tiled....
                but i've never used it on such a big surface .....
                well...it was worth a shot ....

                  jst try to feather the edges of the bump map provided with the vismat material in photoshop and reassign it in the bump map slot..you vill get a smooth effect with out tiling..
