      Hi guys,

This is my first AutoCAD -> SketchUp project.
A friend of mine showed me some cool models made using 2d AutoCAD files.
He sent me the following 2d AutoCAD file:

Good start, Ward. You'll want to use the push/pull tool to give those windows and doors some detail; it looks like most of the windows are identical, so you could make a component and copy it.

          My avatar is an anachronism.

Yep, those windows are components. Added some detail.
Can you guys help me out with textures? I'm nor quite sure what textures to use...

              Eduardo,

One design thing. It looks like the porch is supposed to project forward in the original. Not sure if it couldn't be improved upon in other ways, but just to go with the original, see if your fascia at the porch can be pulled forward of the main roof fascia (or pull the main roof fascia back?). Perhaps bring the gable with the round window out forward some too. I think your house will look even better. And some column capitals perhaps. But very good assembling the model from the plans overall. Good luck.

Looks great, Edwardo. That's pretty much the same way I go about importing 2d AutoCad into SketchUp.

                      Some renders!
First time in Kerky I tried bump mapping the bricks and using a .PNG tree.

                      Comments anyone?
