Very nice models! They're definately American, but not to the point where it get's boring(McMansion etc). I wouldn't mind having a house like that, actually.

Damn fast. What is your secret(s)? Houses are pretty neat too.

As for the development design, I like the huge expanse of lawn and the poor guy out there with his little mower. I know, it's just for a simple / fast presentation.

I think the secret is that there are only 3 models of houses and 75% of each is the same across all three πŸ˜‰ haha.. so took no time at all...

Jason, very nice! I kind of like the distortion πŸ˜„ My only comment would be to use different skies for each view. I know... it was a quickie.

the general rule of thumb for architectural perspective rendering for the last 500 years is to keep the verticles absolutly verticle.....expensive parallax lens are used on cameras to achieve this effect...in rendering apps, just simply raise or lower your DOF ctrl....this makes clients nuts...just an FYI from someone with 17 yrs exp with arch viz....

I use 'Field of View' on most of my projects to get more of a dramatic effect and I've not once had a clients complain about it! IMO... renderings are a bit boring when they stand completely 'vertical' but hey, you're the one with all the experience so I guess I should take notes...

                        M001,

Jack bird what it's worth, I'd combine a few things, have the jogger women tripping over the kids bike all trashed on the drive there.

                        Scary kids.

                        Bloody knee action.

                        Ouch.

And I like the use of dogs.

Jason, I've found flipping or mirroring the sky is a quick way to make a reasonable change...stretching works well too if you go for a wet look. (And thanks for the tree mention...FYI I always tone them down now too, I seem to be evolving out of my "neon" phase :`)

My first thought was that something seemed wrong; then I realised there are no dividing fences!!!! Maybe through a few around Jason, won't take long but will add some intimacy to the scene.

Besides; it'll make that bloke pushing the Victor 2-stroke a whole lot happier... !!! πŸŽ‰

Andrew, I'm guessing this is designed as a "traditional" neighborhood also called new urban design It typically has the yards all sprawling into each other since the houses are much closer together it doesn't make you feel so confined. Sometimes they are wrapped around courtyards.

Gee Tinanne, we are spoilt here in AU....!!!

BTW, are there really housing estates being developed in the US at the moment? I thought considering the current financial disaster would have put a stop to any new activity....

I'm intrigued; maybe reason for a new thread.
