My Hypershot tests
-
ok im trying to test hypershots. i havent seen test in architectural interior that much so i decided to use my old models.
-
They are rather dark.
-
I agree....way too dark. Kind of hard to really see everything.

Hi, nomeradona. I've tried to achieve a good lighting in hypershot and i can't (http://hypershot.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=857)
I see that you seem to have my same problem. Can't you make the lights brighter?

I think the lights look great. Are they an HDR material? Just turn up the strength on the environment HDRI by a point or two and you should get a little more exterior light coming into the room. Also, if these are just screen shots, make sure you have "Detailed indirect illumination" checked.
Can you post a few "daytime" shots?

these are actually light test, and i can incerease the light of the materials. btw im not using emmisive map (hdr) but some of the materials i resaved from those available bip at bunkspeed forum. of course i could increased the overall hdri environment to intensify the ambient light, but it wont really help. the problem that you are talking about here perhaps is increasing the intensity of the light of the artificial lightings rights. would wish that would be address, so as to encourage more and more architiectural interior render. but i have to admit, it's quite addictive though and the result for product design is excellent. at the moment i will agree that the lighting issue still not yet explored to its potential, but lo you give the develoer some more time, it will compete to any render engines imho.
also i think, i need to calibrate my screen at home. they are way way to dark indeed in my screen here too in the school. at home they are not that dark.

Nomer, your experiment looks good to me, I have an idea. You could use a HDRI map for environment, to get just a little bit more light, then hide the environment, and put a backplate( a nice image of a night shot).I think it will be great for a night shot scene!
