Halloween is going to suck.

You must've had a dull childhood Remus to say that Halloween sucks...
-
It was all good when i was a mere young un (more so than i am now.) But when your a bit older it sort of loses it's appeal. perhaps its just my area/country/temprement?

Growing up in the southern hemisphere we never celebrated halloween (for obvious reasons) so coming to America it was a new celebration that unfortunately not many American kids know the real reason of what it's all about. Anyway my kids used to love the whole dressing up and trick n treating with their friends, it was fun and for the adults it was a time to aknowledge the changing seasons and getting ready for thanksgiving and the silly season.
It's a very commercial holiday that is pushed by the candy companies, but besides a few cavities it's a welcome little distraction IMO. -
Halloween is something that, when I was young, happened but wasn't really celebrated.
Now the stores have cottoned on to it as another way to make money by selling trash at high prices.
Then there's "trick or treat" which ends up more like "demanding money with menaces".
Can do without the whole thing, send it back to the USA! I'll just burn Guy Fawkes on the 5th November, but elf 'n' safety have just banned bonfires and home fireworks and it's no longer PC to burn Guy! -
We don't have Halloween at all here and even Valentine's Day hasn't succesfully been "sold".
-
I'll do just about anything for some free candy... even if that means dressing up when I'm 23 years old! I don't care...
-
Let me guess... you will be the Joker this year
-
Nope... I was thinking the Michelin Man!

Ever notice the Michelin man looks like tires but he's white.
Agree on Halloween. It used to be just a few days and seemed more natural. Old clothes made into costumes. Pumpkins (not plastic ones), apples, straw, hokey homemade decorations, paper cutouts... Now at the beginning of October people plunk mass produced trash in their front yards. Sorry if I offend, I don't mean you.
Not to mislead on dating myself. Sure there were store-bought costumes and stuff then too, but not whole stores dedicated to Halloween.

Ok then... how about Macho Man!?! Holloween is no different then any other American holiday so what's the big deal?
