juan, i've used vray with irradiance map on the primary engine and light cache on the secondary... why do you ask? what is IDX?

chango70, thanks for the good words man!!!

On to those tips i promised.

Firstly i think the composition of your first render is a bit weird, namely theres that big what patch on the right hand side. Changing the camera angle to get rid of the big blank spot will help things a lot.

Secondly the image is very bright, you might be able to tone it down a bit in photoshop or similar. If that doesnt work its probably worth making a few of the materials a bit less shiny.

As for the spots, im not entirely sure what they are, my best guess would be that they are the reflections from the spotlights you have in your scene.

Overall they are very good renders though!

I am talking about the Free IDX Renderer for Sketchup
                    it is quite quick.
there ia a thread about it http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12168

I say it for the long time of rendering you were refering to.
and I was guessing if you could get those effects with that engine.

                    ,))),

Not too shabby. Maybe lower the exposure a tad - the images look unnaturally bright. At least to me. As for the white spots ... caustics? I'm a Vray noob myself, so that's just a wild guess.

In any case, look for Mado's interior settings on the Vray forum. Load those, and take it from there.

Nice work. Your render times are probably because of everything is so reflective (shiny), but it could be many thing (computer specs, render settings, etc.). The image is quite bright but that would be somewhat correct with white on almost all surfaces. The spots are due to your lighting subdivisions being set too low. Try turning those up and also make sure under "global settings" that your raytracing secondary bias is set to .001 and not 0. This will also help clear some of that up. Overall nice work it just needs some attention to the lighting.
