Awesome modelling. If anybody again says that sketchup isn't up to it - let them look at this model.
Thanks for the explanation too, it just shows how much you have put into this.

        Thanks.

          OMG OMG ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฒ .
          Fabulous job there Silver!.

This should be PM'ed to all Google employees with a note (demand?) why high poly support is so important for Sketchup.

You're a very talented guy and the things you pull off by using sketchup are unseen.

I mean that in a good way. ๐Ÿ˜‰

                      One question:
Why SketchUp? Wouldn't 3d max be a whole lot easier?

You got my respect man, that model is awesome!

sketchup is the so far the easiest program on the planet to work on. Its just a lot of people do not really understand its power and spend thousands to buy expenve difficult programs to create high poly models like these. Yes sketchup is limited in ways, maybe su7 will help going that direction. lol

I didn't realise that. I also thought they were reference shots. These are just amazing.
                          These are truly inspirational!

The last 3 images were rendered in Maxwell render, approx 3 hours each, 2 would have been fine too.

First of all...CONGRATULATIONS for this tasty candy. If the first one it was a masterpiece, a piece of art with all those textures and lightning and everything, and this one it's the most photo-realistic sketchup work I've ever seen....I just wander....what we should aspect in the future? How will look the candy number 3? I'm thinking already...damn , and I'm still at work!! ๐ŸŽ‰

Words elude me, thats just friggin phenomenal!

All that detail, I mean if I even tried that at 1/3 the detail my workstation would explode.
The last three renders are also brilliant, dude!!! you're the man!

any chance of modeling a 'Rooivalk'? ๐Ÿ’š

I bet you could even blow us away using etcha-sketch.

thanx. this model actually reaked with detail...but a lot gets lost during the render...I have taught myself...a model is as good as its details. Candy 3 needs quite a bit of thought...i didn't actually thought of what would blow your minds.. ๐Ÿ˜„ ideas could be welcome...what you guys wanna see happen next
