    Hi Guys,

I've been watching this conflict for the past few days and
have not reached a conclusion on what has / is happening.

What is your take on it? Does it boil down to Oil Pipeline
    Routes? Me thinks it may!

    Mike

People of the world. You deceive! World mass media conduct propagation of a false information. Russia DID NOT ATTACK Georgia! 07.08.2008 at 22:00 Georgia has attacked South Ossetia. At 3:30 08.08.2008 tanks of the Georgian armies have entered into city Tskhinvali. Artillery bombardment all the day long proceeded, fights with use of tanks and heavy combat material, both against ossetic armies, and against peace inhabitants were conducted. 1400 civil people already were lost. The Russian peacemakers have arrived to South Ossetia in the evening 08.08.2008 for settlement of the conflict and prompting of the world in republic and protection of the Russian citizens living on territory of South Ossetia. Georgia has attacked South Ossetia on eve of Olympiad, it is top of cruelty and cynicism. Proofs and video-materials look on : http://www.1tvrus.com/ , http://www.1tv.ru/owa/win/ort6_main.main , http://www.rian.ru/ , http://www.vesti.ru/news , news.ntv.ru/ , http://www.ren-tv.com/ , http://www.newsru.com/ .We shall tell is not present to WAR!!!

Dear friends! We are watching the Great Lie from Internet! The reality is that Saakashvili FIRST bombed Tskhinvali on the Day of the Olympian Games! Georgian soldiers SHOT Russian Peace-making armies, peaceful population FIRST and only AFTER this Russian troops came to prevent further destruction. Remember Kosovo, and the US position in that case!
If you understand the reality, that means your have a free mind.
P.S. Please, send this message to all your friends.

I don't agree with external politics of Bush's government and it's influence to 3dparty countries like Georgia too.

about oil...British petroleum closed oil line "Baku-Tbilisi-Jayhan" and it influences at market.

Yeah so Georgia attacked first....i know..but is Russia innocent? NO WAY..whose backing up separitis republics all over the former USSR teritory? I mean how would you feel if a big bully used one or 2 rooms of your house, and rooms of importance, just because he was the previous owner? Russia always played a dirty waiting game...I simply hate russian political tactics not to say i hate Russians....although i would have lots of reasons scowered all over my country's history.
Just take a look at Russia's recent behaviour and Putin's speaches....They're back on course to becoming a world super bully like before. All Russian rulers were addicted to power and hungered for more, a little bit more than most rulers,..just tell me of one who wasn't so.
Although I can't condone acts of war i would say Georgia has the right to get its territory back. And whose to say the conflict wasn't deliberately provoked by Russia in a way or another .....and all this just before Georgia could join NATO, i mean the timing is fishy....
Somebody said that Politics is a whore, and boy was he right.

Henry Kinsinger observed wisely that 'No great power retreats forever' just before UK decided to jump into the Falklands Conflict with Argentina. Same rules apply.

But at least we've had the (?)fortune of watching Bush, Rice, Gates, and McCain all over the news (all straight-faced) warning Russia: "In the 21st century it is unacceptable for countries to move troops across sovereign borders and attempt to oust the leaders of the ruling government." b-((

Russia-Georgia conflict created a big headache for Israel which armed and trained Georgians for years - and now suddenly Russians threaten retaliation by supplying S-300 SAM batteries to Syria. Here is what a prominent Israeli analyst says: http://samsonblinded.org/blog/on-russia-georgia-and-israel.htm
