Hey, was wondering if this was a legitimate bridge. There are hinge joints inside the triangular prism blocks... They are attached to a couple of things to simulate being attached to another piece(s). I could make the whole bottom a box, but that's not accurate.

so, basically, the first one is the best, but i think it infringes the rule about the large scale grouping, while the second one shouldn't. the second it's bad looking but it works.

anyway, i'm not an advanced user of scketchup, maybe i'll try a better bridge later.

someone can tell me why in the second one a grouped object takes off?

Nope, nobody was out there. But now that I'm back...
The reason that you're bridge section moves is that convex-hull is convex, like it's been shrink wrapped. The only way that I could get around that was to make each individual line of the inside curve a different object, then group them all.

By the way, you can forget about the rules if you want. Just make your bridge cool and breakable.

I realize I missed out on the timing for this a little bit, but I just discovered Sketchy Physics (which is amazing) and I desided to add my bridge up here. I believe it is the first suspension bridge. It moves terrible slow because the number of joints and groups, but check it out.

Ok, this is so noob. But how do you build the bridges with arches that have the sloped bricks? Because when I make them they pop upwards because of their shape. If that makes any sense and know what I'm doing wrong please tell me ;D
