GTA 4 for the PC

Not any more, they removed the 'PC game' in the list...
And now I'm officially gonna buy a stinking Xbox 360.
I mean 10 good games to 1 good PC game is just insane...The Fall dashboard update will support my 22" screen,
which did it for me... -
GTA 4 isnt the only good game for the PC...
-
I wasn't counting GTA IV since it is not coming to PC. Good games are Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3.
Xbox 360 games are: Fable 2; Fallout 3; FarCry 2; GTA IV; Saints Row 2; Prince of Persia [WT]; ...Well okay maybe not a 10 to 1 with only good games, but with Xbox you got a whole lot more games than PC
-
Each to their own, i suppose, but id count hl2 et al, crysis and bioshock as good games.
And i would have though they removed it from their listing just because it was leaked early, i.e. they accidentaly put it up, realised they werent meant to have out it up yet and then took it down.

That really sucks! Grand Theth Auto was one of the greatest games ever made for the computer. But I think that the Game Console makers have something to do with it!!!
Microsoft and Sony are probably paying people like Rockster to only make the game for the consoles, That way more people will buy Sony's and Microsoft's Game Console to play their favorite games, So that means more money for Sony and Microsoft.... -
I doubt theirs any straight bribery going on, id guess theres enough game piracy around to scare of a lot of major developers anyway.
-
Not to mention that it's a hell of a lot easier to develop a game for 1 system [Xbox 360] than for PC...
-
Hugo, have you ever seen whats in an X-box?
If not, it's a PC.
-
I reckon the OS / software differs though.
-
Probably not as much as youd think. I would have thought a linux based base system would be a pretty good starting point for making the OS on a console.

Maybe I should have been more precise... What I mean is that the Xbox 360 is the same system over and over again. This means when it works on one Xbox it will work on all the others as well. Now, with a PC this will not happen since hardware can differ quite a lot [CPUs GPUs etc] and even the software can make a game simply not work.
[and yes I' aware that the Xbox is pretty much a standard PC [with the exception of 3 CPUs]]

In the past I pretty much looked down at all game consoles.
They were for the kiddies I thought. PC Games were for adults.
Well, for adults who like to play games!I still believe that for first person shoot-em-ups you can't beat the PC.
A keyboard and mouse is perfect for the fast response time thats needed.
The consoles just can't match Half Life 2, Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament, Crysis, Counter Strike etc.However...
I have just purchased a Playstation 3.
This was mainly to go downstairs to hook up to my new HD TV in the living room.
It looks good (much nicer than an XBox and quieter) it plays BluRay, DVD and DivX files. Cool.
I have now just played some games with Dualshock wireless controllers:
Fifa 2008, Top Spin and Burnout Paradise.
They were good fun and had excellent graphics.Regards
