i think he wants us to try to make it inter face w/ SU. i dont think it'll work. unless the wiimote can sense depth of field, it wont work

The genius switch has no "off" position
Intelegence is natrual, it takes real effort to be ignorant

Ha - sorry was sort of joking with the whole 'get-rubying' thing. I can't imagine how far you'd have to stretch a script to get that thing to work. I just found this pretty interesting...Apparently EA Games have just incorporated his '3D safety glasses' technology into one of their new games - I'd imagine it should herald some pretty spectacular results.

Now SketchUpping with the Wii remote... that could get interesting. However seeing how inaccurate the Wii is at times (Golf for instance) it would get very frustrating to work with. But then if you are going for fun and free form maybe some real interesting designs could come out of it.

If you watch the head tracking video, it's pretty amazing. He uses a pair of glasses fitted with 2 leds, and the wiimote can pick up the depth of field. There's nothing special about the glasses besides having 2 lights on it. The computer is manipulating the image on the screen based on the feedback from the wiimote.

This could potentially be done for any computer application.

              Hi

Yeah - I kind of assumed everybody had watched that one! But it's not even really the technology involved, it's the thinking that intrigues me. I mean the guy is working out of his lounge and he managed to obviously surprise a few in the gaming industry.
