    Hi all,
Call me stupid but I don't know if there's a script to quickly substitute a bunch of component instances of name A with another of name B in one click, maintaining all parameters (layer, scaling, rotation, etc).
I've searched the forum and my own site (!) and didn't find anything similar.
If it doesn't exist i'll do it myself but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if it does.
So pleeeaaaaase tell me where !

you dont need a ruby for that. SketchUp can do it by its own.

just select the components you want to substitute (or right click this component in the component window and choose "select instances").

then right click the new component in the component window and choose "replace selected" - all selected instances are replaced by the new one... 😲

is that, what you intended to do?

Yeah, no need for a ruby. Good old SU has it! πŸ˜‰
