for example is a guy now in the warehouse who want to play with lot of us his nickname is lee take it down pls
You have the ability to report a policy violation directly from the 3D Warehouse. Just look for the "report a policy violation" link when looking at someone's work, and it will be reviewed.
I looked up people with the title "lee" and only found that he has a model saying that someone is using his work.. ??
Please clarify and I'll see if I can help.
Cheers,

The warehouse does have a lot of junk, but it also has a lot of great stuff. You just have to wade through the trash to get to quality. I think many people have stopped using it because they don't want to associate themselves with the trash. That keeps the average level of quality down.
I put a lot of my stuff up and I hope it is useful to someone somewhere, but I seldom get any feedback.
There's another whole dynamic which I found out about. People (kids) are using the 3DW as a social networking site. Communicating by posting ratings and reviews of models and posting models which are just messages.
As it is, it adds very little value to SU, but if Google policed it properly, it would be a big selling point for SU. It would take a lot of effort though. I'd think Google could write some kind of a 'bot which would do it. I thought Google could do anything.

So it is not very different from the Internet in general... Or a typical used books store.

Personally I still think 3D warehouse is a cool place to look for models (besides the GE stuff).
For instance, I recently found this 3D horse over there, which I think is not a bad model:
....Which leads me to following idea:
Shouldn't we have a thread with 'bien-trouvés' of 3D warehouse? It could be a thread in the component section...
People could post models they found on the 3D warehouse and which were really useful to them.
Just an idea. -
Without control there is no quality. I take all my stuff from Form Fonts. When I couldnt find for what I was looking for there I went to Warehouse . My experience was that it took me more time searching and cleaning the model for use than if I had made it myself.
But I agree with kwistenbiebel, I found some good horses over there. -
I guess Formfonts is a good place as well but I always try to find something for free off course before jumping to the comercial ones

It's unofficial: most of the people complaining about 3DW being full of junk don't share their models there.
And there's the main problem.

Just because soem people dont upload their models it doesnt negate the fact that their is a lot of rubbish.

Well, kwistenbviebel shared a couple of nice stuff there for sure!
True that I mainly keep things there with which I only helped people out (but also, lately I have only been making help models and tuts - now just realizing that I hardly use SU for realmodeling)

Unfortunately, most of the work I do can't be shared until its in production. My employer is starting to upload our collections of models though so you can see much of my (and others) work.
In June I can likely upload some of my latest products after their Neocon introduction.
In the past I did put stuff on the old forum but have never done so with the warehouse.

Unless someone cleans it out, you are right that that there will always be a lot of rubbish.
But if the 3D warehouse is going to be useful, it will be because quality models are added. I would like to see people upload more quality models.

Hi,
There were some recent changes to improve the prominence of higher quality models. There is more work to do in this area, but it's a step forward.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for chiming in!
I think even even when "collections" were implemente, it helped a lot because people started to pick quality models and brosing the collections already gives way better and faster results!
