'employe theft database' in the uk
-
BBC NEWS | UK | Magazine | Bust-up with the boss?
Workers accused of theft or damage could soon find themselves blacklisted on a register to be shared among employers. It will be good for profits but campaigners say innocent people could find it impossible to get another job.

Seems like a very narrow minded idea really. As several people mention in the comments section, its very easy for a vindictive senior figure to ruin your career.
And whats with being blacklisted even if when theres not sufficient evidence to prosecute?! seems like oyu can be prevented from gettign a job on the suspicions of a single member of a company
