Thanks guys! The feedback is much appreciated.

igor... the "vines" are done in SketchUp using the Follow-Me tool

remus... computers are opening up incredible design possibilities so as they contine to become more powerful we're all going to see many more interesting buildings in the future

pichuneke... unfortunately I don't know how to use Kerkythea... I'm waiting for a Mac version of Podium before jumping into rendering

james.. just a big thanks for your kind comments ๐Ÿ˜„

Kerkythea is extremely easy... in the basic use. In fact what I do is to save the skp file with the view that I want, and after that I export it to Kerkythea with the sketchup plugin.

Then I select a preset (the icon of the running man), for exteriors pathtracing high and resolution... and it's done. The icon for viewing the rendered image is the tree.

You can choose the hour of the day, too.

            Forgive my spanglish...

Fred, this is crazy, talking about organic.
              Nice Work.

Looks like the vines are attacking the building. Quick, get the round-up!

Impressive modeling on those vines; I don't think I would have that patience. I thnk your design would be stronger, though, if the shell was more organic in form.

                My avatar is an anachronism.

Great stuff Fred, this is why I watch for your posts. I'm seeing it like a root structure with the roof being the ground surface and each floor being layers in the soil/rock below with the whole thing being thrust up from below like a core sample. Great stuff.

Maybe you've already mentioned this about your stuff but do your concepts go so far as to incorporate green building techniques for energy efficiency and recycled/sustainable materials? (I DO see the obvious pun here but, come on, you guys know what I mean by GREEN ๐Ÿ˜’ )

I really like this and would love to see some of Fred's ideas/concepts used someday.

How about an exterior elevator that meanders up a vine made to look like a ladybug?

                      Thanks for the comments guys.

Pete... love the ladybug idea, and I know who I'd ask to model it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Eric... I see where you are getting the core idea, it kinda looks like a plug. Models like this are just pure fantasy so I don't really think about sustainability issues. On my curvy green roofed house models I am thinking quite seriously about sustainability... but I should probably be thinking more about buildability. ๐Ÿ˜„

Daniel... I agree that the design would be stronger with a more organic shape to the floors. I just wanted to do something quick and easy after the tedium of the vine creation.

Mateo... I love the feeling of your referenced model... ahhhh, those hazy autumn days... but we just made it through another long Northeast winter, so I'm thinking spring! ๐Ÿ˜„

                      Fred
