Green Toaster's Car Sketches
-
. . . thanks Ray . . .
. . . here's another "generic Green Toaster car body" but I'm using a technique that's even faster than what I've done before - total time: 6.00 minutes start to finish (excluding wheels) . . .
-
. . . added a small detail . . .
Happy Sketching,
Brad

. . . last one for the week . . . I'm guessing ~96% of these cars is undone when I post them . . . oh well . . .
I can possibly take the time to do a Camtasia tutorial if there's a "significant" interest - if someone can learn something useful from it. If there's a reasonable response for it, I'll put the video tutorial in the Tutorials forum and mention it here.
Thanks & happy Sketching,
Brad

This is the last car ive done. What do you think? I wuz trying to make the Saleen Raptor but it ended up as sum else.
-
Ray, that's very nice - how long did it take, from start to final render?
-
well i worked on it for 1 hour one day and the second day (which was yesterday) I finished it. I let the render animation on for the night and uploaded it today in the mornin.
-
This is the final render
-
just need some practice
-
-
Looks better than your other cars.I like it, keep making them Ray
-
Good stuff ray, altohugh if i could, id sugges making the wheels a bit less shiny and putting a bit more rubber on those tyres
Brad, ive got to have a go at your 6 min tutorial at some point, youve certainly got a good workflow going there.
-
. . . my sketches seem so "bland" compared to models that have details and are finished with rendering software . . . of course, mine are just "concept sketches" and could be developed further . . . I guess . . . here's the Skeeter with wells cut out . . . maybe I'll detail this one and render it . . . might be too shocking for those keeping up with this thread if I actually posted a finished & rendered model . . . after all, I don't want people to faint, or fall out of their chair, right?
Happy Sketching,
Brad

It would be a good idea if you finished this one. It has an Audi TT feeling

This is the car i started working on last night... I think its coming pretty good

Yes, I can sort of see that now that you mentioned it. Okay, I'll finish this one but I'll have to do it on my home machine - believe it or not, my computer at work only has 1/2 GB of RAM so, it's way, way slow . . .Happy Sketching,
Brad

can't wait

What an amazing change from the start of this thread up to now. A kind of tutorial in inspiration on its own.
I would really like to see a Camtasia tutorial and your attempts at rendering some of your latest efforts.

Bob C,
My first Camtasia tutorials are on another thread at this forum - "Six Minute Car" or something like that . . . thanks for the nice comment . . .
Happy Sketching,

Brad,
I just found and watched them thanks , I should have looked more carefully before I posted.
They will be very helpful and are jam packed with techniques, approaches and work flow. Unpacking them, I'm sure, will be very constructive for me and others too I'm guessing.
