Good idea! Now Eric, what would you be doing
that you would not like someone creeping up on
you?Mike

The solution is that I sit with my back to the wall in my office (there are 5 of us seated in the room).
I'd not let anyone sneak up to me from behind (especially while browsing these forums during office hours ) -
Well I can be a bit jumpy.
Truth be told, the way our offices are laid out there is no way I can sit with my back to the wall, it is to the corridor. So anybody can sneak up on anybody... a trend in our office.
So I use the mirror anytime I hear footsteps, not to shut the forum down. Everybody is light on work these days in our office so if you are on the net, well nobody will be upset.
..."Hello, who's there? AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaa..........."
-
Well, it just makes me nervous when people are walking behind me while working.
The same in a pub/bar; I like to be sitting with my back to the wall and facing the room...

Hey, that is cool! I want one. I have the same problem, I don't like people sneaking up on me... or in my case, my kids because I work at home and I didn't want the window behind me for the glare on my screens.
But I couldn't help laughing while reading this post because now it sounds so paranoid!!! LOL What on earth causes a person to be so jumpy about not knowing who is behind them? Just sounds funny now and happy to know I'm not the only crazy person out there

You know, Tina. some 10 or 100 thousand years ago, when we were sneaking behind those deers, mammoths, whatever - we hated other animals of pray doing the same thing behind us...
That's it...
