KAPOW! ...and ....PHOOMPH!

Yeah well, 'double standards' and 'censorhip' are two things that come to mind.
See you around.

@ administrator(s),
Feel free to delete all the gallery threads I started, that are considered not being par to the forum regulations/recommendations.
Thanks,
kwistenbiebel -
I dont think anyone should get sore on this one. Coen meant it in general and I also agree
with him - gallery for SU and gallery for outside renders that are done on su models, but on the other hand people including me are posting everything on these pages , jokes ,links not relevant whatsoewer to Su . I mean we are here to make friends as well. So there should be a space for this kind of topics , at the bar or somewhere like that. -
Biebel,
I'm not transferring the content just to remove/delete it afterwards!
-
this is a touchy subject.. if something's on 3d warehouse or formfonts or wherever sketchup models are distributed...it should be fair game.. i'm sure there is a ton of stuff on formfonts that was modelled in 3d studio or something..
-
biebel... i really enjoy ur posts here... u use a lot of rendering apps through SU and post them all here and i learn a lot through them... i enjoy ur comments on the work flows posted on each rendering apps.. i am sure u post the renders in their respective forums too... but i just dont wanna join all the forums ...( 3 or 4 is pretty hard itself...)
anyways.. if u dont post here where will u be posting all the different collaborative works??? -
Hmmm....I find it strange that you are prepared to let go of the one of the best render artist around there is just like that. I am also of opinion that if is skippy file than it is a fair game.
Scottopara I do not know what you do but reducing rendering to hitting a render button does not show much of the knowledge about rendering. -
well yeah, its more than hitting the button..but i dont think he meant it like that... and he's 100% right.. you cannot have a good (photoreal) render without the detail..

I don't think that would be the case, Sepo.

It always amazes me what post or comments are taken to this extreme. I do not believe that Coen was trying to tick anyone off or upset anyone as I was not either. I think what was trying to be said is this is not a max, cinema 4d, or any other forum but a Sketchup forum. While I have posted work that was completely modeled in Sketchup but rendered externally the work itself was 100% modeled in sketchup.
Sepo,
I did not mean to "reduce rendering to hitting a button". What I am trying to say is that with programs like Vray or maxwell and many others, a person can do a very quick render that can impress someone who does not know rendering. Render programs have come a long way to making the art of rendering much easier to do. I have been rendering for quite some time and I do understand that a good render does take time and effort and does not require someone to just hit a button.Marked001,
We at formfonts are very strict about modeling in Sketchup and Sketchup only. I am sure there are a few instances where texturing or a slight bit of modeling may be done with another program but for 99% of the time all of our models are modeled only in Sketchup. Many of the vehicles on the warehouse are 3ds conversions and they can be picked out by someone who knows what they are looking for in a second or two. By the way amazing work on the penthouse you did. That is a great example of the raw power of Sketchup in talented hands.Best regards,
Scott

Well, that really hurts me.
Like the work you do Biebel. pleasse don't go.
Like Sepo sayd it is not only push the renderbutton, a lot more
it's lichtning , texture's enviroment and all of that.
So when you archieve something like that why not show it in the gallery. -
Thank you guys for the support.
Let me answer this thingie without words
By the way: ALL SKETCHUP! He He
