      Hi Guys,

Its been ages since I posted anything for viewing so I thought this little project might be of interest.

It started out with searching for some form of entertainment facility for a business that I'm involved in, The East Clare Golf Village http://www.clareresorts.com. While the complex is on a golf course and the surrounding areas have lot of amenities the management wanted some 'on-site' entertainment facility that would not cost a small fortune and fit on a small plot of green area in front of the reception block, Coolreagh House.

Oh! and it has to be up and running for the tourist season, March onwards. It was a typical 'I want everything but for nothing' situation. We agreed that the facility should be golf orientated, possible a mini driving range or such.

I decided to investigate the possibility of putting a small virtual golf simulator setup in place but it would have to be a temporary structure if it was to be up and running within the short time table.

I have always been fascinated with inflatable structures and saw this as a chance to experiment further. I did the usual research and located a very helpful company in the UK that specialised in inflatable structures http://www.southerninflatables.net was pleasantly surprised at the quite low cost of these structures, even costume made ones! The golf simulators were a different matter, quite expensive but I think I've located some simulator systems that are not too over the top price wise. http://www.sports-coach.com So far on balance, the overall facility seems feasible.

The attached pictures show a dome type design that I've worked up and that is now being priced. It should be a fun project and I'll post updates on this thread.

Any comments and advise is most welcome as I'm in unexplored waters on this one 😉

      Mike

Thanks Jon and yes it probably will put it on Google Earth when time permits. Attached is a pic showing half the dome + interior.
