leather table.jpgScreen Shot 2015-09-21 at 12.53.23 PM.pngI spotted this table this morning on the 1stdibs.com web site. Edward Durrell Stone, a noted American architect, designed the original. It's covered in leather, with the hide cut in strips and woven to form interesting random patterns on the top. There wasn't a good head-on view of the top, so I substituted a lizard-skin texture to approximate the weaving. For the rest of the table, also covered in leather, I used one of SketchUp's native wood textures, which was just fuzzy enough to resemble the leather. I still need to tweak the thickness of the top and the 3 support columns.
      What do you think?
      Best,
