Where to find developers?

Hi,
Just wondering if people could suggest a good place to find Sketchup plugin developers. I wish to have a plugin developed. I have looked in places like Odesk but there seems to just be lots of general developers who say they will "give it a go". I would rather find someone who specialises in or at least has experience in building a Sketchup plugin.
Are there companies or websites that specialise in Sketchup plugin development? Obviously there are a number of Sketchup developers in these forums but is there an appropriate way of hiring. Do I just post my project as a topic and ask for help?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Post an outline in the developers forum, a lot of dev's visit there and some are guns for hire...
it may be that what you want exists, there are many 'private' plugins being pasted around...

There are local developers (sketchucation members) here that have been writing ruby code since somewhere around 2007. The problem is not finding, the problem is choosing. If you are a Sketchup user it is easy. You are probably using plugins built by developers capable of writing an application for you. Just pick your favorite author and then enquire.
I'm not sure how the independents feel about taking time from supporting their own creations to build one for you but some will.Finding someone with experience in your vertical business place who writes code is the key. Ruby experience is essential but experience in your application area will make the job less of an experiment.

There are two sorts of Plugins (and developers)
For the "fun" (for the pleasure of the programming - so free) or for commercial views so with some cost!
Better of them are in the both categories!
Maybe your plugin is yet existing (there are many thousands of them !)
What is your ?
You can put a request in the forum section plugins: if it's interesting maybe you will have the result in hours!
Depending of the difficulty of it!
