The Plugin can all play that ffmpeg can play more than 30 Formats / Codecs
I just have this idea and send this years ago to Lumion so they do by them self and since
3 weeks works my Programmer (i use his name since 5 years in sketchucation) schnydix on the plugin.
My web name is esense3d and i made a german sketchup website 10 years ago
I am an free idea factory for special effects in Event, stage. Lighteffects etc...
draw this ideas with sketchup put it on the web and see whats going on.
With Video Projektions today called Video Mapping i stardet 25 years ago on Rave Partys.
Today you see this stuff around the worldNow i am fighting for you people it means for a free version of the plugin i hope i win this.
I Play 2 weeks realy hardcore things with the plugin like 10 videos in 3 instances open sketchup or 20 videos at the same time works very differend. Works on Win XP- Win 7- Win 8- SU8 - SU 2013 - SU 2014 best in SU8 for me. The Youtube videos with the moving objects with texture animation on it i used the 3DX Space navigator. The Plugin have an Render to file Option but now only static this means without camera animation support.
The Camera animation support and an open for all timeline is on my wishlist for the real Mr.schnydixYou need content ?

Schnydix made a short stop to fit the plugin for Sketchup 2015 64 bit
Now it runs on the new SU 2015
Look in Store the next 2-3 Days for Video Texture Plugin

I just tested it on
WinXp Sketchup 8
Win7 Sketchup 2013
Win7(64) Sketchup 2014
Win7(64) Sketchup 2015 (64bit)
... and it works everywhere for me (with the gif file you provided)I have however to admit that with such 1-second anigifs, there are a bit large breaks between the repetions. Maybe we can improve for such situations one day. But it works.
To make it loop/repeat you must enable the loop button (rightmost button of the 7 buttons per video) which looks kind of like a recycling button
If its light green its on and it will loop , if its off (dark blue) it will play only once.Hmmm maybe we can never guarantee that ffmpeg will be happy on every cpu, with every video file in every format it supports. I guess there are too many combinations. (But note that ffmpeg has the problem, which is a 3rd Party application , and not invented/developed by us, only packaged)
Maybe Converting the file to a different format would help for you.

I Think the plugin dont like bananas as well is a children please try some other Fruits.
Banana work fine for me in SU 2014 and 2015 wihout crash but work not in SU 8.First Proplem/Bug Ani Gifs run not all (The Fruit make no difference) in SU 8 and SU 2013
