I am new to SF. I just did a simulation and wanted to select a box. Once I pressed the spacebar entire state was reset as before the simulation. How to stop the simulation and edit the items, move them manually, etc? Spacebar is resetting the simulation.

      Am I missing something?

You have to do it the other way. Follow these steps:

          1. Enable recording
          2. Start simulation
          3. Reset simulation at desired time. It will ask you to save animation. Press YES.
          4. Then use the replay tool to get yourself to the desired frame.
          5. After you do so, press the replay button once again to pause and the objects will be left in their new positions.

Note that the replay tool adds quite a lot of memory to the model, so use SketchyReplay->Erase Recorded Animation once you're done pausing SP animation at desired scene.
