I came across the Able-HD monitor, the 'World's slimmest portable HD monitor'. I think the idea is good as the more screen real-estate available the better.

It looks like the Kickstarter project for the original Able-HD monitor has been successful and they are not taking further orders for the time being. However Able are to launch a new Kickstarter project for an Able-HD Pro. Details may be found here, http://www.able-hd.com/
