          These look pretty good. I've had a shot at a couple CAD-like apps. There is always one problem-- no mouse-up function--which we are used to in computer CAD. That is, you can't move a cursor unless you are touching the screen. Another thing not mentioned oddly is import and export--what formats and how. This is something especially tiresome with iPad, where I've had to find workarounds and special apps just to move files in and out easily.

          I have yet to find a CAD or measuring app that I wanted to use in the field--but I probably haven't tried hard enough as "pen and paper" works so well.( Also you can accidentally drop it no problem.) I've had more luck with the great (often free) paint and sketch apps.

          I applaud the plucky efforts, sometimes by small companies or persevering individual developers.
