egg and dart tut.skpI found a pretty easy way to model egg-and-dart molding. It's described in the attached tutorial.

Don't delete the face, hide it with the edges! You'll be able to push-pull it later and, if you remove every inner faces and edges, you'll still get a solid.

I'm afraid I don't follow you. Are you referring to the first step, where I say to erase the waste after doing the Intersect Faces command?
