The doc is perfect but sometimes it's good to see how people are using such and such tools to achieve such result!

Very very late to answer...
If "you're French and you're proud", just use a french plugin from one of the best french architectural tensile company : Ferrari sketch
The difference with Soap Skin & Bubble is the skin is linked to the vertex, not to border lines, so you dont have to draw hypothtic border.
The problem is still the top in the center of the tensile... -
