Convert from .kml to .dae

I have to convert a .kml file into a .dae (Collada) using the Linux platform. I have already installed Google Sketch up through Wine but, unluckily, its API does not work on Linux. I should use C++ but any idea relating to other coding languages are welcomed.

The kmz is a zipped archive file.
It has the dae file within it, inside the "models" folder.
